It was eh. Ordered the vegetable tempura, scallion pancakes, and chirashi sushi. The tempura was OK, but had a strange funnel-cake flavor to the batter. The pancakes were also fine, but the dish was basically green beans wrapped in a tortilla, which was strange to say the least. Sushi was poorly cut (came in odd shaped chunks that were unpleasant to eat) and was a little ‘off’ tasting. Wouldn’t recommend it… especially since it is priced so high.
I have been to Umi Sake at least once a week in the past two months. Every single time I leave happy. I have only experienced great service and delicious sushi.

Sushi. This is by far my favorite sushi place in the area! during dinner time it can take a long time to get your meal, so if you aren’t happy about waiting, order your meal for carry-out. Huge variety and many unique choices keep me coming back. I love the sushi rolls that include fruit with the fish, such as the Tropical Paradise Roll. Specialty rolls are a bit pricey, but not more-so than anywhere else. They also serve some classic Chinese dishes, but if you’re coming to Umi, treat yourself to the sushi.
Bad Food, Really Bad Service. My daughter and I stopped for a quick lunch and were so disappointed by the food and service that we were put off Sushi for a while. Our waitress brought us our food and then was never seen again until we noticed her come back to the restaurant with her coat on. The other staff completely ignored us. We decided to leave a meager tip to express our disappointment, to our surprise the waitress followed us out of the restaurant and asked where the rest of her tip was! HORRIBLE!!!
Nice, Quiet, Quick. We stopped in last night to try …. It was nice. We sat at the sushi bar and were promptly served drinks & sushi. The waitress was attentive, but not too imposing and the sushi chef was very pleasant and inquired if the sushi was to our liking. It was. I do agree that it can seem a bit rushed, but, for us, it worked.
Great. Food was excellent as always, served very fast on a Friday night and was not rushed whatsoever.
