Horrible. Went for my birthday. The experience was horrible from the beginning. When we arrived we were told the wait was 1 hour which turned out to be 1 1/2 hours for a party of two. Finally after being seated we waited 1 hour for our appetizer then another 45 minutes for our food. Forgot to mention that i watched our server place our food in the microwave after taking it off the line. Forgive me but i thought made ro order actually meant that it was made to order. Ww ordered sangria and my boyfriend’s waa warm as if it had been sitting. There seemed to be no manager or any one else accountable for the poor service. No one to read the frustration on the faces of the customers. Got the cheese and bacon Cajun fries for an appetizer. Disgusting. It was cheese wiz and bacon bits over frozen fries. Sent our reheated entrees back when they finally arrived. Wish i could charge Carolina Kitchen for the gas that we burned to travel from Baltimore. Where are you Gordon Ramsey?

I’ve ventured here several times whether its dining in or take out never a disappointment!21 Jul, 2012Visited for a coworkers bday, our seating wait was only 15-20 min, service was outstanding our waitress Nisha stayed constantly at our table which was great. I tried the pork chop dinner with mac n cheese an greens, I had them put my gravy on the side. My buddies food came out first, then I was told there was an issue with my pork chops an it would take an additional 35 minutes but the manager said she would take care of it if I decided to keep the same order or I could order something else. I decided to wait since my assumption was my meal would be free which was true. It took about 10 minutes after the other dinners were served so it wasnt a big issue after all. The mac n cheese was really to die for even better than my grandmother’s, greens were good but not great but those pork chops were well worth the wait. Seasoned perfectly I didnt use any hot sauce as usual. We all enjoyed our dinners very much, and Im definitely looking forward to going back again, our waitress with her outstanding service made the meal even better. Great establishment & staff with food to match!

LOVED IT!. We were visiting from Buffalo, NY where I am a restaurant owner as well. So we decided to check this place out to see what all the talk is about. We had approximately 9 people in our group. The food was excellent, I had a dish called the Jerk Salmon & it was phenomenal. Great dish. Service was great! I have no complaints at all. Employees were energetic, enthusiastic, & very helpful. Our server was Shawn. Great job guys, definitely will be back in the coming months.

Welcome, Welcome!. Absolutely loved the food, it’s just like grandma would make! Chicken was tender, the greens melted in my mouth, and the order of Thai chili wings I took home for later was great! The food was a tad salty, but as a lot of southern/soul food seems to be made that way, it’s not a fault, just something to be aware of if you’re watching the sodium. Too, they ARE a bit pricey for lunch, would’ve been nice if they’d had a separate lunch menu with slightly lower prices. But anyhow, the food was great, service was excellent, and the decor very nice. Definitely worth a visit!
