Vigalante Coffee is a gem in Hyattsville, and apparently the locals have noticed! It’s becoming more crowded than before, but for good reason. The coffee is freshly ground and packaged in house, the burlap sacks a part of the decor. The pastries are made in house, only the cookies brought from elsewhere. I had a traditional macchiato and an almond cookie while I was working. The macchiato was delicious and strong, not overly bitter. The almond cookie was one of the best cookies I’ve ever had. The almond flavor was the best kind of overpowering-the taste filled every single bite. The cookie was moist inside, unlike other cookies I’ve had of the sort. On top of that, the baristas were fantastic and very knowledgeable. One went out of her way to introduce herself and tell me about the place. I instantly felt at home, and I am already planning to go back!
