Mister John. I just found out about Continental Pizza about a month ago. Someone told me to try their cheesesteak subs. They are to die for, Yes, they use Steak-ums. The onions are cooked to perfection and they give you plenty of provolone cheese. Their pizzas are also awesome. I work in Bethesda twice a week and always stop by for a sub or pizza on my way home. They’ve been there for quite a while according to legend. I can see why.
SIMPLY WONDERFUL…EVERYTIME!. Both my husband and I grew up on Mike’s pizzas and steak and cheese subs. Now our children are also in love with Continental! Prices are very reasonable and the food is consistently wonderful. Parking is a pain and seating is very limited, but most of us regulars just pick up and go! If you are in Kensington, you must stop by Continental Pizza!
The Good Old days are still here. Continental Pizza is the same great sub shop it has been for the past thiry years or more. My first visit was in 1983 and I swear the food and place is a good as it was back then. I strongly encourage you to try them out. But don’t brint a debit or credit card…. cash only…..
Simply the Best!. The first time I set foot in Continental Pizza I was 8 years old, my best friend and I had a dollar between us, not quite enough to pay for the pizza we just ordered, but Mike the owner made us a perfect pizza anyway and we eat every bite with sheer delight! I’m now 52 years old and have lived in New Orleans for 16 years, claimed by many to be the the gastronomic epicenter of the universe. Despite this fact, Continental Pizza remains my absolute favorite sandwich/pizza restaurant ever, and I have passed this wonderful secret and tradition on to my children introducing them to it when we evacuated here for Hurricane Katrina.When ever we are in the Washington, DC area we always make Continental Pizza a mandatory stop along the way. My favorites…Steak and Cheese, Cheese Burger Sub, and Italian Cold Cut.
Great pizza and subs. Large subs are cheap and are simply 2 small subs. Pizza is thin crust and much better then anything nearby. I used to live in Kensington but now I drive half an hour to get it and do so on regular basis
5 stars. Great staff. The food is excellent for the price! everyone should eat here at LEAST once in their life.
Chicken Souvlaki. The food is to die for! Continental has the greatest chicken souvlaki I’ve ever tasted! No other restaurant’s come close. The juicy, seasoned chicken with melted provolone cheese inside crisp pita bread is amazing. It is devourered within seconds of reaching the table. The french fries are crisp and golden with a speacial seasoning that makes them taste delicious! The pizza sauce has a sweet taste that mixes perfectly with the melted cheese to create a juicy and cheesy pizza. Nothing compares to this food.
