We ordered Chinese doughnut, spicy chengdu chicken, duck pastries and chicken xio long bao. The Chinese doughnut was like a fried bread with condensed milk on the side and weirdly served over lettuce. Nothing exceptional. We were looking forward to chicken xio long bao as we had only had pork once before but they told us that they didn’t have chicken ones so had to get pork instead. We have had some really good xio long bao’s before and this place fell short on that. They were possibly the worst xio long bao we have had till now. The wrapper was weird and the filling was flavorless. Would not get those again. The duck pastry was ok , it just needed some hot oil. The chengdu chicken was also ok but maybe too many sichuan chilies. The best thing was possibly the wonton’s though still we can’t call them the best we have had. Frankly not the best Chinese food around. foodiemuggles.com

Two different Bob’s 66. We were headed to Bob’s Shanghai 66 but we ended up across the street at their other place Bob’s Noodle 66.Very good, authentic, and large portions. Same room for their shaved ice dessert. We learned that Bob’s Noodle serves Taiwanese cuisine while Bob’s Shanghai is North Chinese style.

Delish!! I dined with a chinese-american who had eaten at bob’s several times, so she had a good sense for the menu. for instance, she wanted a beef stir fry, but hadn’t been impressed with the regular menu offerings so we ordered a black pepper beef which was a special on the daily specials menu. delicious!! stir fried noodles, soup dumplings (eat while hot), Szechuan string beans, all very good. I think it’s worth mentioning: the place was packed with chinese people and their families. cash only!!

FANTASTIC. We went here during our recent trip to D.C. and were surprised. We were expecting stock-standard american-style Chinese food. What we got instead was goddamned AMAZING Taiwanese food. Looking at the prices, we weren’t expecting all of the meals to be served in family-sized portions, but they were, and we were SO THANKFUL for it because it was all so good. I ordered the pork intestine Sanbei, because I figured, a place that puts intestines on their menu probably knows how to cook them, and boy, was I right. Crispy, tender and flavorful with the sauce and scallions was perfect. My wife got the salt-and-pepper pork chops, after a bit of confusion, but was really happy with them. Our friends got the beef and noodles and garlic shrimp soup and we all shared with each other, because all the meals come in HUGE portions. All of us walked away happy and most of us left with extra. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Unique little place with great food!. Has unique flavors and surely doesn’t have the the commercial take-out Chinese entrees in it. The noodles are flavorful even when it doesn’t look greasy at all. We ordered the shrimp and flounder hot pot, which tasted amazing and was huge portion! The tiny place is not too much to look at though, the ambiance is just okay. A drawback- It’s a cash only restaurant. Go just for great authentic food for a good price.
