VERY DISSAPOINTING. Long wait even with almost empty restaurant, overcooked shrimp and high price will make this my first and last trip. There are many places I could go and spend the same money for outstanding food and service and we eat out almost every night!Later my neighbor mentioned about their experience at the restaurant and it was very similar to ours. I read some of the positive feedback online and that was the basis for selecting them to celebrate our anniversary.Oh well!
I love Fontina. I mainly cook and eat italian. The meal started with house made bread and a fruity EVOO with fresh grated parmesan which was magical and well done.I had the fried calamari to start which was a perfect golden brown and paired with a marinara sauce and a garlic aoli.I had the caeser with the meal and it was made with homemade caeser dressing.I had chicken Salt en boca for the entree. It came with a LARGE side dish of penne in marinara. The salt en boca was de-licious. The chicken (which were breast mind you) was tender enough to use only a fork but i used a knife because of the prosciuto.The entire meal was HOMEMADE. No processed red lobster, Macoroni grill type food here. I would definitely go back to Fontina.
Fontina Grille – Love the place. We have lived in Rockville for over 3 years and still love going to Fontina Grille. Everything we have had there has been delish!!
