By far this strip mall Italian is one of the best Italian restaurants north of Washington DC. Time after time consistently excellent! Terrific appetizers, salads, home made pasta and desserts!

Don’t Judge by the Exterior. Driving up to the small strip center wedged between a gas station and a DIY unfinished furniture store, you may be forgiven as your eyebrows climb and you contemplate turning around. Don’t. The food is simply delicious. One of the last times I visited, a member of our party was fond of squid ink pasta. A call ahead ensured the Chef would be able to prepare it. Nothing is too heavy, too strong/unbalanced in flavor. Highly recommended.

22 years, still the best around. Started going to Il Pizzico from the humble beginnings. Was an old deli turned into the start of the best Italian food around. As time went by, and word of mouth got around, the place caught fire and thrived. The old deli turned into a lovely restaurant. From the beginning, the food was awesome. My favorite dish is Ravioli di funghi al pistacchio. The wine list is ample and most likely you will find many to complement your meal. The bread and olive tapenade could be a meal in itself! Many of the wait staff have been there since the beginning which speaks volumes of Enzo Livia, the owner/chef. Don’t be fooled by the location. Do try Il Pizzico if you haven’t. The quality of food hasn’t changed since the start. Pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, and one of the best Italian meals you will have.26 Jul, 2011Looooong time customer. Started to eat there when Enzo and Sandra had first started out with metal fold up chairs over 20 years ago. The food is as good as it was from the beginning. That is about the best compliment I can pay with restaurants coming and going so quickly. We lost our favorite Italian place where we live…We will only eat at Il Pizzico when we have a taste for Italian cuisine. Very attractive, great staff, and the food is impeccable. My long time favorite is the ravioli with pistacchio! Thanks for a great meal.

Don’t judge by exterior. Looks kind of like a strip mall pizza place, and even cabbies don’t seem to know about it, but inside this is a wonderful, warm, friendly and top-level Italian restaurant with outstanding fresh pasta and perfectly prepared seafood.

I was surprised about the post that said this restaurant does not accommodate special dietary requests. I am on a gluten free diet and have been coming here (an Italian restaurant!) for years. The owners now even offer gluten free pasta. My daughter has a nut allergy and they are very accommodating with this as well. However, more importantly, I am from New York and I am part Italian and I am telling you that this is some of the best Italian food that you will find anywhere in the United States. It is just incredible. With the best service you can imagine. I have recommended this restaurant to foodies for years now and no one has failed to be impressed. In a word- GO!
