The restaurant ambiance is lovely. My party had seafood dishes – Seafood Grill, Surf and Turf and Lobster Ravioli. Food was delicious and well seasoned. We had the Blue Crab and Artichoke dip to start. This was served with garlic (lightly seasoned) crostini and it was fantastic! Cheesy and lots of crab! Wine list was pretty standard for a high end restaurant. Overall it was a great dinner and I would highly recommend it if you are in the Rockville area.
Wonderful experience for the occasional special occasion. Great staff, superb steaks and desserts. Be prepared for a larger than normal price tag, but recommend trying this restaurant to see for yourself.
Excellent food. While the prices may be a bit high for some things and the place a little too formal for others, the food is excellent! Scallops are sweet and melt in your mouth, salads are fresh and tasty and the entrees….seafood and beef alike are all good (at least those we’ve tried). If you want a nice sit-down dinner with good wine and food…try it out. I’ve had lunches there too which are as good as the dinner menu. Good service there too.
Outsanding and attentive…. Outstanding and attentive service, nice selection of steaks prepared nicely to expectation.the salads were nicely plated and a pleasant departure from the typical choices. Its a bit old fashion from its canned music-showtunes theme, but the service and food make up for the ambience. Been in the area for years and always leary of this type of steak house.I will return.
See a shrink. Nick’s Chophouse suffers from same disease that caused Jordan’s to close in Ellicott City: an overinflated opinion of itself. The beef while acceptable Angus is woefully overpriced and $5 extra for au poive (please). I’d much rather drive into DC for a better steak for the same money with professional service.
