Great food and atmosphere. I went to tijuana cafe about a week ago and I absolutely loved it. They recently renovated the diniing area and bar. They have added bold colors and tiles making the place look alot nicer than before. they also added new dishes to the menu, my favorite new dish is el tipico. to see what im talking about you must go there to find out. Like i said great food and atmosphere at an affordable price.
Get ready for a great meal!. My girlfriend and I eat at this nearby restaurant on Viers Mill Road, hidden away in a small shopping center near Twinbrook. We eat there a couple of time a month, mainly for lunch and the occasional dinner when we feel like Mexican. The food is delicious, fresh and handmade, tastefully presented and plentiful. We both love Mexican food and have had it many times in our travels, including Mexico. This Chef’s cuisine is the best Tex/Mex we’ve ever had, bar none. After eating there yesterday were moved to write a FABULOUS review because the meal was just soooo good. We are now lunching on the leftovers, having brought the portion we couldn’t finish back homejust as good on day two and halves the cost of the meal. The ambiance is quite pleasant. The owner/chef wants the place to be family-oriented and has made substantial and tasteful improvements to the dcor which have really warmed the interior. The service is first rate. Our server remembers us and even what we like to order. She even remembers we like the music lower so we can talk, and turns it down before we even ask.If you want one one of the best Tex/Mex meals in the metro area, go any time to the Tijuana Mexican Caf. And let’s not forget the evening karaoke on Fridays with the marvelous tenor who sings beautiful Spanish songs while we dine.
