I have no idea why this place is rated so high. I went to Pasta Plus after receiving several recommendations, but I wish that I had not taken them. This was probably one of the worst and strangest Italian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The decor is old and needs an update. The 1990s atmosphere isn’t working. Server wasn’t very helpful. He didn’t seem to know the menu very well and took a long time to refill drinks and get the check. Bread was stale. Appetizer tasted like it had been sitting in the back of a freezer for months. The chicken was not tender and overcooked. The pasta was mushy and the sauce was bland. I really don’t like going to chain restaurants, but I have to say that I’ve eaten at Olive Gardens that did a better job. Sorry. This place seems to be very popular, but I just don’t understand why.

I got a veggie dish and it had a handful of vegetables and enough oil to kill a horse. My husband got a shrimp dish and the shrimp wasn’t fully cooked!! My grandfather got veal parm. And it had a small piece of veal beat down to the size of an 8×10. The only person who’s food didn’t suck was grandma and she only got soup and salad. For a place with pasta in the name, the pasta was dismal.

Open the door and enter to a wonderful experience, food is the best Italian restaurant food I have ever eaten. I was 2 hours from home on business travel and even had my family travel down to have dinner with me. The second time was even better than my first visit. Save room for dessert, all homemade and generous portions, we shared our cheese cake and could not finish! Huge selection of wines and beer. All at an extremely reasonable price. 4 of us, soup to nuts and only $115.
