Ale House is a perfect restaurant for grabbing brunch with friends and family or any dinner date! They have unlimited options that appeal to all and weekend brunch specials with a mimosa and bloody mary bar. The tostada nachos are awesome – definitely get them! Vegetarian Bahn Mi sandwich awesome!. Rachel, our excellent waitress, suggested several items for us to try on our first visit. I noticed the Vietnamese vegetarian Bahn Mi sandwich. Seared, marinated tofu, lettuce, pickled veggies, avocado, garlic chili mayo on a sourdough style french baguette. Everything sounded intriguing, so I gave it a try. WOW, it was fantastic. Amazing flavors all mixing together in a sandwich. I am not a tofu fan, but the marinated and seared tofu on this sandwich has got me thinking differently. I don’t often suggest a particular meal. But if you go there and want a new experience, definitely give this a try. And say hi to Rachel if she’s there.

Great, prompt service. I’m not a craft beer or ale person, but the food was great. I had the Mustard Crusted Salmon. We will definitely be coming back!

Ale House – Columbia. This was a one and done visit for us. Waiter was snooty and unhelpful. I ordered the seared tuna. $22 for just a tiny piece of fish and some wilted unflavored greens. If I pay $22 for food I should not leave hungry. My husbands macaroni was bland and small portioned as well. My 1 yr old got their cheese pizza. It was huge! Why are the kids portions larger then the adults? He refused to eat it, the crust was so over done that I can’t say that I blamed him. I ordered a beer, waiter knew it was our first time there. It was in a huge bottle, maybe 6 servings or so. A heads up would have been appreciated. They gave my husband a complimentary glass that we left there. It was dirty and the logo was worn off so it was obviously a regular serving glass. Total bill was over a $100, and we both came home and had cereal because we were still hungry. Never again.

Upscale Take on Sports Bar. I like sports bars. I like the atmosphere, ambiance, food and drink selections. Alehouse Columbia is an upscale take on this warm fuzzy, with an interesting beer and drink list bordering on the exceptional. The menu is simple and straight forward bar food, but its bar-food done exceptionally well by a kitchen staff who cares. The restaurant was reasonable crowded on an early Wednesday evening in the late summer. I cannot imagine it on a (say) football Sunday, but it will be fun to check out and see. It’s possible that some seats may not offer great TV viewing, but the only way to know for sure is to try it and see. Staffers we met were pleasant, prompt and courteous. It’s a little pricey but it’s Columbia. We’ll be back for sure.
