Very good service, excellent sushi and sashimi, good teriyaki and udon/soba. This is our default whenever we want a quiet and consistently good meal. I think the portions are smaller than other restaurants perhaps, but this is how much people should be eating and that many people assume they should gorge themselves to get their money’s worth. I think the portions are perfect.
My boyfriend enjoyed his raw sushi and ramen. Unfortunately, I guess I just picked the wrong things to order. The salmon inside my deep fried roll was completely cooked. I’ve never seen this in a roll anywhere. It was obviously cooked too long or just not correctly. My $17 teriyaki shrimp dinner consisted of a small miso soup, six pieces of shrimp, 3 pieces of almost raw broccoli and 3 carrot slivers. It came with a small bowl of white rice that the server kept saying couldn’t be substituted for fried rice. This was the smallest portion for a Japanese dinner I’ve ever encountered.
We went late on a Sunday evening. We ordered several of the special rolls and several of the regular rolls. Avoid the volcano roll. It comes with a huge blob of mayo-based sauce. Everything else was very good and fresh. However the service was very slow. There was only one chef and one waitress working. I’d go to Sushi King first because their service is superior.
Love the sushi. I’m a big fan of sushi and maki rolls and won’t go anywhere else when I have a craving. Their rolls are always fresh and tight so they don’t fall apart on you when you pick them up. Love the shrimp with spicy mayo roll and the crunchy tuna roll! Service has always been friendly and carry-out is super fast. Wish they were open for lunch on Tuesdays as it always seems like I want sushi then, haha. Their prices did go up a little while ago but still worth it.
Just had dinner. It was delicious. I had the Maryland Crab Roll, Chicken Teryiaki, and tempura ice cream. Service was prompt and friendly. I’ll be back.
Favorite Columbia Sushi. I have been going to Hanamura for years. The service is great, the staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic! I have yet to eat something there I didn’t like.My favorites are the Kinoko Miso, Shumai, and Philadelphia Rolls. There is also a maki roll involving crab meat and Old Bay, I believe it is called the Lake Side roll. Being a sushi lover from the Baltimore area, it doesn’t get any better than that.
Great Sushi. We love Hanamura! We always get sushi from here, and we love the service and food!
