Standard Steak House. This is a very standard steak house and I have eaten at Longhorns in Columbia, Laurel, and Bowie. They are all about the same. Somewhat pricey compared to other local restaurants. Food is decent. It is not as good as Ruth Cris or Morton’s (but they are crazy expensive!).The meat is consistently of very good quality, but I can’t say the same about the people cooking it. I order my steak medium, and have had more steaks served to me that were well-done or raw than were actually medium. But they are very good about this and will either cook it more or start over with a new steak. The salmon is consistently good but even that was served to us a couple of times raw inside. This chain has a website with an email club you can join. They will send coupons every month or so and on your birthday. These are usually for a free appetizer but sometimes for a free entree when another of equal value is purchased. This chain is owned by the same folks that run Olive Garden and the Red Lobster.
Service Good – Food Horrible. Went here the other night. The server I had did a very good job but unfortunately, the food fell way short. My steak wasn’t cooked properly and it was very tough, not something to be expected for a New York Strip. Lot’s of fat and grissle too. I definately won’t be back.

Gotta Love Longhorn. Longhorn Steakhouses really suprised me. I’ve visited a few of them now and have to say I love them. Menus at first glance may appear to be pricey, but portions are huge and you’ll be taking some home. Their method of grilling steaks is second to none, all steaks no matter how cooked are juicy and mouthwatering with a hint of cowboy love. The experience reminds you of going out west, the restaurants are well decorated to get you out of the big city and into somewhere in Texas for the night. Clean and service is good, if you have a complaint, they stive to make it right.
