I had such a wonderful experience here tonight! First off, we immediately got a table at 7PM on Mothers Day… amazing considering how great the food, atmosphere and service were. Jake was a top notch server and really added to the magic of the experience. So many good moments to go over but I think my favorite was when I asked for hot sauce and Jake said they had Tapatio or a homemade sauce made with habaneros. I opted for the homemade option. After 5 minutes or so I started to wonder where it was… and then Jake came out of the kitchen and apologized and explained they had run out and he had to make more. (He was still wearing the gloves like you would want when working with fresh habaneros! And considering this, the wait for it wasnt long at all.) It was delicious (and spicy!) and then one of the chefs came out with yet another sauce, this time even spicier, made especially for us. The food was among some of the best Mexican Ive had… y tengo una novia Sonorense y ella dice el mismo. Si quieres comida rico (o enchiloso ) entonces deberas ir aqu!

Chicken tacos had no flavor even with guacamole and pico. Their smothered burrito tasted like marina and made for a weird combination. This place lakes flavor and screamed fast food Mexican flavor. Was hoping for better based on the looks of the place.
Good service, mediocre food. Chimichanga was surprisingly bland despite being beautifully presented. Wasn’t crispy enough either. Salsa & chips were nice, what of it you could get. Service was the highlight of the meal.
The Real taste of Mexico. I had visit Mexico several times. This place has authentic Mexican taste, and the service is great . I will recommend it, for kind of ocassions.
Is simply the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The staff is so friendly and the Margaritas are to die for.
Good Drinks, Horrific Food. Three of us went to La Palapa Too and two of us had horrible food. I ordered the pork burrito with red sauce and was offered a nice looking dish of a mid-sized burrito. The sauce was bland and the worst part was the cubes of meat – they were so fatty that the entire burrito was inedible (I offered a piece to my wife without telling her my opinion, and she also commented how fatty it was). Our friend ordered the Fajita Salad and received a fried tortilla basket filled with iceburg lettuce and a few pieces of grilled shrimp with fajita seasoning on top. Note – the free salsa with chips we got when we sat down had good, warm chips but the salsa was very very thin – about 90% liquid. We believe they are using the CHEAPEST INGREDIENTS POSSIBLE and living off of their location and atmosphere. Drinks were good, but STAY AWAY if you are looking for decent quality food. I went last night (Sat, 4/17/10) and I am still feeling queasy after just 3 bites of that horrible, horrible dinner. With so many good restaurants so close to La Palapa Too, go ANYWHERE ELSE . . .
