The place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but actually it’s quite nice. The menu is a little overwhelming and confusing, but from what other people ordered everything looked delicious. It was my first time there and first time eating Thai food. Me server completely ruined it for me. She was extremely rude from start to finish. Luckily other servers came to check on us which helped out a bit. Service was very poor and unacceptable. I’d give it another shot only because the food was good.

My favorite Thai in DC area.. I have had Thai food in Thailand and here.Ruan Thai is still my favorite for certain things.They have the best Tom Kha Gai soup which is my gold standard for Thai cuisine. Even better than in Bangkok. The only better place for it is Golden Thai in Toronto which is my hands down best place for this dish.Their Thai eggplant with chili paste is to die for.I love the dish that has the word Nah in it that is wide rice noodles, black bean sauce, and, not on menu, mixed veggies. Fab.Red curried chicken is also great.Not every dish is wonderful. Stay away from the salmon wish I hated.However, over all this is the place I keep returning to.

The best Thai food in the area. I have been a regular with my family since 2001. And they are expanding… So many options in the menu it is cruel to select a favorite. The grilled pork belly is out of this world.
The best Thai I have had. Sure, there are places that are nicer than this joint. Nothing impresive about the decor. The service is decent but certainly nothing to rave about especially when it gets busy. HOWEVER…The food is amazing. The dishes are here are very bold; This food is not for the light-hearted. The Drunken Noodles are awesome and the Pad Thai is to die for. The ingredients are really fresh. It is, by far, the best Asian restaurant in Wheaton and that says quite a bit considering the good options in the area.
