Good stuff. Just went in for a beer while awaiting a to go order from a nearby restaurant. Owner and staff were very friendly and the menu looked delicious so we came back the next evening. We were not disappointed. Food was wonderful. I had the vegetarian lentil dish with a side of the collard green dish. Can’t remember what my wife had, but it had beef and a egg. Both were great. Will definitely be back when in town again. Staff were great.

Awaze. Good food but when you water down your awaze sauce it leaves a bad impression.Business smart restaurants should know better. There are a lot of Ethiopian restaurants to compete with, do not assume your customer does not know any better. I just threw it away, it was so bad!

A notch above the local competition. We’ve enjoyed all the good Ethiopian food along the Fenton St corridor, but really Abol is a notch above the rest. Every dish has its own distinct flavors. You can sense the pride they take here in the cooking.

Great Ethiopian in Silver Spring. Best kitfo I’ve ever had–great texture, great spice, great cohesion so it was easy to eat with the injera. The sides, collards and two kinds of cheese, were very pleasant.Good selection of vegetarian dishes, too, and a no-nonsense waitstaff.Definitely coming back.

First time trying Ethiopian food- very strange! The chicken was very tasty, but the sponge bread was weird. I just couldn’t get over that texture! It’s good to try everything once

They have an amazing vegetarian platter. It is a sampler of several dishes and it serves two for less than $30.I am very much looking forward to returning.
