We love this place for family dinner. One kid likes sushi, one wants noodles. The food is fresh and not greasy, with good veggies, and the staff is super nice. For adults the dishes are tasty though not fabulous. A good choice.

When our power went out in the blizzard in 2009 the manager stayed open a little longer so my family could order.12 Mar, 2011I think people need to try this place for themselves. I was hungry for some sushi and some of the locals suggested this location. To my surprise it was actually good food. What surprised me even more was the service. I was clumsy and knocked over one of the dishes and the manager was nice enough to remake it for me right away despite being busy. Very nice.
Terrible management. I have ordered food from here many times and it was always good. However, my order last night was terrible. When I called the manager (Ed) to address this issue, he said he had no record of my order and went so far as to claim that the delivery place had lied to me and it had come from somewhere else. So then, I called the delivery place who had a record of my order and confirmed that it had indeed came from there. When I called Ed back, he still refused to accept any responsibility, so I told him since he would not make things right, I am going to post this on every review site I can find. There ya go, Ed!
Best sushi in the DC area. Period. amazing lunch specials!
Asian Bistro is fine if one is pressed for time, or needs an Asian food fix, but don’t go here if you want good food. The sushi here, while cheap, just isn’t that great. I live very close but would rather drive to Bethesda or downtown DC for sushi. In fact, the Asian Bistro in Alexandria, VA is better than this one. If you’re looking for a place to go for a special occasion, or while on a date, avoid this place. The sad fact is that Silver Spring isn’t home to any good sushi restaurants, so if you’re looking for good Japanese/sushi just drive the extra few miles and go anywhere else. In DC – Nooshi on 19th street between M & N is pretty good. There are a million in Bethesda, I reccomend Tako Grill because it has a great selection and good food, plus it’s right on Wisc. Avenue.
Great sushi. Love this place for sushi- used to come here all the time for their rolls. Always fresh and tasty.
