Good Cream & Customer Service. The ice cream flavors are different and good. Plus, the employees at the Ellsworth Cold Stone in Silver Spring are polite and courteous whenever I go in there. And to top it off they must have some honest workers anytime I could leave my wallet with cash for two days there and return to find it with everything still in place. I really appreciate it!
Sad Excuse. This place pretends to be some kind of ice cream parlor. The stuff they display, standing in for ice cream, doesn’t qualify as a believable substitute because it doesn’t really look very much like ice cream. Where did they find those other-worldly colors? Radiation sludge, we speculated.If you can figure out the menu, please decipher. I was looking for a simple cone until I discovered that a cone is extra. Small dish, then. Me and the others there were watching and watching and watching, as the wait line approaches interminable. What were we watching? Seems each order was smeared on the counter and bent, folded, and mush-mutilated before serving, delivering a pre-chewed-for-your-convenience consistency to the final result.Let’s not talk about the price. You can’t afford this stuff, even if you could stomach it after what they’d done to it before serving. I’m still trying to imagine the business model behind this place. I’m thinking it must be some kind of money laundering scheme.So, the next time you want to have all the fun kicked out of the idea of going out for ice cream, I recommend this as the place. It’s the sort of place to take an ex-spouse to, if she’s paying.Yuk!
