These are my favorite bagels in the DC area. Big, chewy, and real bagels that must have been boiled and baked (liked they are supposed to be). Great salt level. And you can even tell my looking at them that they are real NY bagels…they have that wash. And, they are actually kosher, so don’t show up during shabbos. These are not rolls with holes in them but real bagels. I bet they make great sandwiches but I just bought bagels to go. It’s 1.25 miles from Silver Spring metro which is a nice walk or short bus ride. dcfud.com
Stale. I used to be a fan of Goldberg’s bagels. But the last 2 times their bagels were slightly stale. When we purchased them on Friday – three different types – all tasted one day old. By Saturday there were inedible. This happened the last time we purchased their bagels as well. Its a sharp contrast from our earlier experiences with Goldberg’s, which were always positive.

These bagels are the real thing. Remember to check the store hours. This place is close on Saturdays. Enjoy!
