Greasy good way high price
Last time here. We were thoroughly disappointed in Mi Rancho except for the guacamole. The food tasted almost gritty, as if it had been frozen and thawed. Too much cheese to cover up what flavor was there. The chips were all broken up into small pieces, so it was difficult to get any salsa or guacamole on. We did get to sit outside, but it was noisy, not surprising for a Friday night. We will not be back
Not so good. I recently took a friend here. I ordered the enchiladas. She ordered a taco and enchilada. My enchildas didn’t seem to have much flavor and the cheese tasted bland. Her taco was ok. But her enchilada seemed like almost all cheese and with little tortilla. My side of beans was one of the most bland dishes of beans that I can remember eating. Seemed like they were heated right out of a can. The staff seemed nice enough. But I won’t be going back there.
Their carne asada is great.
My friday getaway. I LOVE this place! I always ask for my carne asada and share a pitcher of white Sangria with my co-workers. Does not have happy hour specials but the pitcher is definitely a bargain. Service was speedy. The patio is very lively Fridays and lots of people eat here, I will definitely be back soon!
Service… what service?. I signed up just so I could leave a review for Mi Rancho.I was really disappointed. The restaurant is right across from a parking garage, and on the side streets there’s metered parking. We go inside sit at an uncomfortable flimsy chair, and check out the menu. It’s standard tex mex fair. I’m not sure if it was the lunch menu( around 4pm) but there wasn’t much offered. We check out the many options( note the sarcasm) settle on the shrimp fajitas, and after ordering are ignored. I didn’t get 1 refill on my drink, neither did my companion. We get our food, and were told our waitress will bring our tortillas, we ordered fajitas. Never happened. Someone came to get our plates I complained, and she apologized. They remembered to bring the check of course. When leaving I asked to speak to the manager, told him what happened. He apologized, and said if you didn’t like the service, then don’t leave a tip. DUH! He said if we were to come back he hopes we have a better service. He then started talking about being tired from running in the cherry blossom race or something.I was very dissapointed. the food was ok. I’m from the SW I wouldn’t say it’s the best Mexican I’ve had. I think Cactus Cantina on Wisconsin Ave has better food, an the service is always awesome.I won’t be back.
After living in Tucson, Arizona AKA the home of Mexican food for the past 4 years.. I have yet to find a restaurant that even compares to Mi Rancho. I have told almost everyone I know about how amazing Mi Rancho is and can not wait to someday go back to MD and enjoy some authentic Mexican food.
