We have to eat there everytime we are in the area. I try something different each I we go. Everything I have tried on the menu is top notch. Love the sweet potato fries and the best burgers I have ever eaten.
Stopped by for lunch one afternoon and grabbed the Chicken Chesapeake lunch special. Loaded with bacon, crab dip, and a perfectly grilled and seasoned chicken breast, this sandwich is a must try at Alder Street Diner.
Been there twice so far – both visits food was great, large portions (too much actually) Had bacon cheeseburger which was excellent. Cool 50-60’s vibe.
Sort-of a 50’s diner. Small shop in Oakland that’s good for a quick bite. Fried food is the norm. Reasonably priced. Not a place you need to go out of your way for.
