You’re wrong if you eat at the chain rest. down the street. Best food in the area by far…I like to get anything with a sauce. 5 different specials for lunch and dinner everyday…Find this hidden gem!! Bar is lively and dining room is great if you want to relax and enjoy conversation…Menu is global has a little bit of everything
Seriously?. There is nothing artful about this place except the prices. The food is a meager excuse for ‘contemporary cuisine’ that probably suits the mentality of the area just fine, considering its popularity. If you know more about food than the average Marylander, this place is just a disappointment and a money drain.
Go there 2 to 3 times a week for lunch. Best food north of prime rib and aldo’s. Paolo Romeo, owner/chef is a hidden gem. Must try!!
Love this place! Haven’t tried anything that I didn’t like!!
Seared Tuna – Thumbs up!. Fabulous! Seared tuna with focaccia and wasabi and ginger. Great pairing, although the bread was too big. Sweet potato fries ARE TO DIE FOR!!!Friend had one of the specials – Steak tostada! Delish!Don’t go here for a budget meal.
Not Gourmet, Not Impressive. We wanted to try a different restaurant this week so we went to the Artful Gourmet at 630pm on Thursday. The ambience is pleasant not particularly creative. The clientele was mostly older caucasians with a flair for the pretentious. We spent a lot of time waiting while at the table. The waitress did take our order after about 10 minutes. (The Da Vinci, which is baked chicken, and the lettuce wraps). We waited for probably 30 minutes for our meals, I didnt keep exact time. They also did not bring the bread out to our table and I had to ask for it. The staff is basically courteous and the bussers kept our water glasses full which I appreciated. But the food was lackluster at best and between all the waiting and the boring, canned food (My chicken for the wrap was almost definitely pre cooked, pre cut frozen chicken; I am willing to bet the vegetable sauce on my husbands chicken was canned) there is just no way I will be going back. The prices are extremely bloated for food product that is no better than a Morrisons cafeteria. If you are over 55 without discerning taste buds and have plenty of time to kill, this is the place for you.
Food was ok. But prices were higher than listed here. Average was 19-20
