Answer the phone. I just drove past there and was no line, since I just cut 6 lawns I was not shall we say smelling too good, I drove for 5 minutes to my house to call in order…well 45 minutes later no one is picking up the phone… I drove past and there was 1 person…1 PERSON IN LINE I CALLED THEIR NUMBER AND STILL BUSY….are you serious you guys have 1 business line……..well consider me a lost customer….for a business to grow A) you need customers…B) Re-invest into your business……
Inconsistant quality. This place has been on the map for quite a few years.Seems like there is always someone in line or ordering.The Pit Beef is the real thing- however the guy/girl at the slicershould have proper guidance on what rare, medium and well done look like.It is a crap shoot- what you ask for isnt what you may be served.The portion can vary also…most times it is what we are used to for so long.However lately, I dont know if they use a scale or just what fills a hand.The portions are hit and miss.
A Rotten Attitude Awaits You. Was a long term customer, but after the visit today, wont go back. I ordered a sandwich, fries and drink; which is their value meal, and paid $9.52. When order came up there was no drink, so I so I mentioned that I had ordered a value meal, she checked it wasn’t on receipt, so she got the soda and ask for $2. It struck me as odd as that would be over a $1 more than the value meal, so I inquired why… to which her response was it had to be rang up separately. After brief dialogue about simply canceling it and re-ringing it up, an older women stepped in and said the other girl was right, and I ordered it wrong, so it had to be the higher price… why was she so sure I ordered it wrong, vs the young cashier that just maybe heard it wrong? Regardless, was this really a good response… wasnt it still a value meal? My reply was then fine, I will absolutely not be back. So okay, she wins the $1 argument, and manages to lose a ten year customer. A lot of hassle for a soggy bread pit beef sandwich and fries. If you visit, be sure to be VERY CAREFUL in HOW you place your order, as it apparently cant be adjusted once its ordered
The sandwhiches are good, but they have declined over the years. The prices have gotten extremely high as well I was very disappointed when I received horse radish in a packet!!! They used to give you fresh. It is the closest place for pit without having to go down Pulaski highway.
We have driven by many times and thought it was about time to give it a try.I had the Rib Dinner with the Hickory Smoke sauce- $15.99. it came with fries and a side. I got the MD Crab soup. THe soup was very good and so were the fries. The sauce was one of the better I have had. The ribs them selves were average- they we fatty and a bit dry and tough (I have had better ribs).My Husband had the Open-Pit beef sandwich. He had it with mayo and onions. It was very good. We both agree next time to try it with sauce.Beware there is now where to sit down so it is a carry out place. You can call ahead but it doesnt take long.They had Hot Apple Cider for free to drink while you waited- that was Yummy!There are tons of other things on the menu and I cant wait to go back and try! adventuresbaltimore.com
