Nice neighborhood place. Nice, neighborhood place convenient to stop in and full of locals. People rave about their pizza but I find it to be just ok (spoiled by Jersey, I guess). Recently ordered the crab pizza, which was good, except for the large pieces of onion all over the pizza. That was a surprise. The little Italy salad (very similar to Sabatino’s bookmaker salad) was excellent. Good, family friendly atmosphere
Awful Quality Food. The other day my girlfriend and I got three items from this restaurant and two out of the three were terrible. We got crab dip as an appetizer and it was very thick. After the first bite we realized the dip was super thick because it was 90% cream cheese with a tiny bit of crab sprinkled in. Every bite I had of this dip was like taking a bite of a cream cheese block. I had stuffed shells as my entree. They were not very exciting at all. The quality of the shells was on par to the frozen shells that can be bought at the supermarket. I would be willing to bet money that my shells were simply microwaved before they got to me. The only thing we got that was ok was the crab pizza. No complaints there. We’ll never eat at this place again. It was an overall waste of money.

My boyfriend and his family swear by this place! Their crab pizza is to die for and I get it every time I’m in town. If you love crab get the pizza and you won’t be disappointed. I’ve never tried their other food but the pizza is the best
Yummy. So glad to have found Matthews Pizza a little closer to home. Worth the drive from Bel Air. – GGRRRR – Order in advance so my husband could get somewhere and the order wasn’t put in. Please improve customer service
Very bad. Went there the other night with my husband and i have to say the service was horrible. Our waitress ask us if, we wanted any apps and we said no, and then she went missing no lie about 15 mins. Luckily another server came by and got our waitress. When she came over to us she gave us an attitude and she never apologized for being so long. So we receive are food and the pizza was good but cheese steak was nasty and cold. Our waitress came back and check on us and we told her about the cheese steak she basically took the plate and rolled her eyes as she was walking back. So we ask for our check and we left mad and hungry. We will not go back there again service and food was very disappointing.
Love having Matthews pizza in Perry Hall! Sometimes they are short handed with servers but the food is usually worth the wait! The chesapeake pasta is amazing, what a great combination. Every restaurant has an off night, so if it wasn’t great the first time, try it again!
