Good food, hot. They bring complimentary hot tea, wonton crisps with two dipping sauces and a someway sweet cabbage dish. The sushi is creative and fresh. Hot and sour and egg drop soups were good. My husband said the wonton soup was bland. The portions were plentiful for the entrees. I felt like the scallops in my fish were slightly undercooked.

Waste of time and money. Went to Mr Chans on 2 Dec 2011 because I had fond memories from years ago before I moved away. On a return to Baltimore, it was on the list of places to go. What a sorry mistake. The waitress was certainly just released from Cellblock H, with less of the charm and attention to hygiene, the food was utterly bland and old-looking. I had a vegan meal but my friends were meat eaters. Nobody won. The meat looked quite suspect and my meal looked as if it had been dumped out of a can. The place is in serious decline. We shared a cheerless, dirty dining room with only two other diners. The vibe was heavy and univiting. The first proprietor of Mr Chan was a joy, who clearly loved cooking and trying new recipes to add to an already exciting menu. I will never go back and would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Seriously. Only thing I want to know is where Mr Chan 1 went.
One of the Best!. I love Mr. Chan’s – they have the best sushi in Pikesville and I think are the only place where you can get Yuba in Baltimore. They have a wide variety of tasty tofu and vegetarian dishes, which always come with brown rice. They’re reasonably priced and you get your money’s worth. They will make your dish spicy on request. And they deliver! I keep going back to Mr. Chan’s, & they have yet to disappoint.
Nice variety of dishes you can’t get at most Chinese restaurants. Great service too!
Tasty food. A bit more expensive than some other Chinese restaurants with similar small square footage and modest decor but overall good food and a nice meal.
