Excellent!!!. Awesome food and service.
It might be okay If it’s just a few people, but don’t have a big party there. We were there previously right after they changed locations, the food was decent. But we were just there again in the beginning of March for a Birthday party for about 50 people. There were 2 large parties happening at the same time. The difference in food quality was day and night. The food must have been prepared earlier in the day and reheated, it wasn’t seasoned properly, it was dry and not freshly prepared. The lamb chops were dry and chewy, the kabobs lamb and beef were extremely tough. There wasn’t a single thing that I could say that was really good. I will never go back of my own accord to eat there. I truly wish that they would have stayed in the old location which was much smaller and they were much better able to cook everything to order. What a shame and what a let down. I hope that they can fix the issues otherwise I don’t see them lasting long the food was that bad.
LOVED it!!. Went here for the first time tonight after reading about it in Baltimore Magazine. The food was fantastic, the prices unbeatable, and the belly damcing was the best surprise of all. Go on Thursday nights for the show! We had the samsas, the cornish hen, plov, mushroom soup, borscht, steamed dumplings, and the mushroom and potato side dish. All were excellent. The cornos hen was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be ordering that again.
Great food, great place!. This is not a fancy top of the line place, however if you are looking for a great variety of international food, then this spot is fantastic! My friend and I always go there when we are craving traditional Russian/Uzbeki food. I absolutely love their salads selections, manti and plov are my favorite dishes. Its cozy and service is decent, but i must say i was never disappointed about the food. Also great place to throw banquets if you are on the budget, as their prices are unbeatably low.
Nice place. Silk Road Bistro is pretty nice place with authentic Usbekian food.Tashkent-stile lagman and plov are delicious. The only remark is that, as to me, a bit more noodles in lagman would be better. Not like in Uighur-stile lagman, however, a bit more. In all events, the place is nice, quite and food is excellent. Definitely, this is a place to visit.
In revision to my first review. The food is still awesome. If you are going in the evening be sure to make a reservation.05 Jan, 2013If you are looking for some awesome food come to Silk Road. I had never had Uzbek food before so I didn’t know what to expect. I chose things from the menu that are traditional foods. EVERY thing that I tasted was excellent!
Food was great, prices beyond reasonable! Servers were friendly and welcoming.
