Great place!. I live near this place and go there quite frequently. I would put her food up against Maiwand Kabob any day. She has a large Afghan and American menu. Pizza and sandwiches are also available. The pizza is really good and much better than Pudgies, around the corner.
Magnificent place. The food is always fresh, meat is tender. Plus, there is such a great variety to choose from: Afghan and American. Delicious Afghan deserts. You can tell this place is super clean as well. Friendly customer service, I honestly can’t complain about anything. I love this place.
Great chicken, horrible spinach, non chalant employee. The prices aren’t the best but the chicken kabob and rice – absolutely delicious! I would give that dish 5 stars. The other day I ordered 2 chicken kabobs and a side of spinach. The spinach was terrible, I mean really, really awful. I went in yesterday for my usual chicken kabob and told the lady working behind the counter about my spinach. She really didn’t seem to care and didn’t bother offering me a free side or a discount on my order.3 stars for the non chalant customer service and the prices. 5 stars for the yummy chicken.
Pathetic. During A Trip To Dc to visit my cousin and Brother I had the misfortune of ordering from Mimi’s Kabob. We decided to order a large meat lover’s pizza and have it delivered to the house which is a mere 4 minutes away. As soon as we placed the call I knew we were in trouble. My brother inquired as to what was on their Meat Lover’s Pizza, not only did we have to ask 3x but we had to explain to the worker on the phone what a meat lover’s Pizza was (If it’s on your menu, I feel you should know about it). As the worker indifferently took our order he requested the street address, which we spelled out and thought our food would arrive shortly. Fast 20 minutes the worker had to call back twice for us to reiterate the street address as he had written it down incorrectly. Our food took 50 minutes to arrive during off peak hours (2:30 in the afternoon). When the driver arrived we went to pay in cash and he told us LITERALLY he didn’t have any change and we would have to overpay as a result. So we politely offered to have him take the pizza with him and go back since he didn’t have change, guess who magically found change in his car. The Pizza was greasy, doughy, dull and boring. Mimi’s kabob’s are excellent and it’s a shame to receive such lackluster food and service when they do, do some food well, beware ordering anything for delivery, and be prepared to have exact change available to pay for the food.
Great Food. The dough for the pizza is spectacular. It’s my family’s new favorite. The Chicken Curry is wonderful as well.
Splendid. The food at Mimi’s Kabob is wonderful. it is the best comfort food around. Very friendly and family oriented restaurant. If you want real authentic afghan food then Mimi’s is the place to be. The restaurant is also spotless very clean.
