This was the very first place I tried sushi, almost 20 years ago. I blame this place for causing my sushi addiction. Possibly if I had tried it somewhere that wasn’t so proficient at crafting great rolls, I wouldn’t have spent the majority of my life craving sushi. I’ve been back many times, whenever I’m in the area. Still great.
Spicy scallop roll is best I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of sushi. Ask about the spicy tuna roll prep before ordering…not traditional. Always consistent. Make sure to check out the specials board.
Decent Japanese treats. I went there with colleagues (one of them being Japanese) and we had a good experience. The place got busy, food was good and my Japanese colleague felt that we were in an authentic Japanese restaurant. Lunch boxes are a good treat.
Great Sushi!. I went to this place for sushi and it’s excellent! I had the sushi/sashimi combo, friends ordered a la carte (spinach sushi, spicy tuna w/ actual tuna, along with others) and some sort of sushi combo with sashimi on top of a bed of rice with some little veggies tucked in between. Everything came with white radish sliced as thin as hair. Really delicious complement to good sushi! The thing about this place is that I passed by it maybe 100 times without even noticing it. Boy am I glad someone introduced me to it! The sashimi slices are so big you’d have a hard time eating it in one bite. The mackerel was my favorite. What was delicious was the little sushi with a slice of fish on top had a little bit of wasabi rubbed in between. I haven’t teared in years and boy did that thing make me bawl like a baby! The raw scallop sashimi was also delicious! On the day we went, they even had live scallop but we came too late and they were sold out. We will definitely go and try the swordfish as well since that is in season currently. Now dessert. It was really remarkable and I highly recommend trying it out. We ordered the A and B. One was a small crepe that had strawberry/tofu cheesecake with whipped cream and strawberry dressing on top. Sounds strange but it was super delicious! The other was a small dish with the tofu cheesecake mentioned above and a scoop of green tea ice cream. The tofu cheesecake sounds strange but it will really make your mouth water. It tastes exactly like a cheesecake but not as mush and gooey. Think Jell-O texture. Just try it, you’ve got nothing to lose.
This is a good resturant but if it’s crowded which it sometimes is it takes a long time for your food to get to you
