When you drive up to the restaurant you get the feeling I’m approaching a Wilderness Lodge. Inside is a well-appointed series of rooms from a western horse ranch to a cool looking bar area. The menu has a display of steaks, chicken and some seafood. Nothing on the menu is tracking me as fancy or as a culinary masterpiece. However, the cost is reasonable. The single crab cake was about a quarter pound and I substituted the sides for a veggie and roasted potatoes drenched in oil. The food had very little seasoning and the quality was fair for the price I paid.
Great bar menu and happy hour rocks! Two huge bars and the food menu choices are endless. Fried pickles for $2.50??? Happy hour glass of wine 2.50??? What? Great food great decor. A regular stop for me!
Monday night at Clydes has changed a great deal. Back in the day the half price wine and Oyster night was an event not to be missed. June 2015, friends and I came from various places around the world to meet up and Clydes was our choice for a Monday night. We walked in and instant nostalgia from the decor, greetings, and ambiance. But the Monday night madness was gone, and that’s not a bad thing. We are all 30 years old now, and Clydes was the perfect Monday night spot. The seafood and steak was amazing. The Crack Tots were a bit to greasy, but always a fun dish to enjoy. Service was brilliant, and I am sure we will all go back to Clydes one day many years from now for another meeting of the minds and a meal.
