A very cute bagel shop that has nice service and good breakfast. Service and lines can get a bit jumbled when it’s crowded, but it’s worth the wait. An easy walking distance from the university.
Awesome food, terrible service. I went to undergrad and grad school at SU, right next to this place. The service was never once even remotely acceptable, but the bagels are absolutely worth the hassle. As a note, I will say that I also worked at SU, and know that the bagels sold on campus are delivered by Bagel Bakery every morning, so if you want great service, pricing and bagels, go to one of the satellite dining locations at the University.
This was the WORST BAGEL PLACE EVER! Microwaved egg patty and one tiny sliver of ham and call that a sandwich? Not to mention the hard barely toasted bagel. I’d rather starve than eat here AGAIN! Service was ok.
Cashier. Good food. Service terrible. Never a smile. After waiting for bagel order, waited for cashier to make coffee for customer in front of me! And waited, and waited, until I left the order on the counter. I spent 10 years in the bagel business, and plan to open up in Salisbury, as close as possible to the current store.
Great Food, Horrid People. I LOVE the food at the bagel bakery, but the service plain sucks. The employees obviously HATE their jobs and make it apparent every time I am there. I understand they probably dont exactly ENJOY waking up and being at work at 4am daily, but really they work in customer service a smile wouldnt kill them. They need to change their attitudes asap.
Best Bagels in town. Really delicious real New York style bagels. Cinnamon Raisin are the best and the Everything Bagel is delicious with no caraway seeds. Yum! Go early before all the college kids get them, or place your order the day before and they will have them ready for you to pick up the next day! Delicious!
A Reserved Thumb-Up. Like the other reviewers, I’ve never had a positive experience at Bagel Bakery when it comes to customer service. And it’s true that prices are higher than they really should be.However, their bagels are fresh and your sandwich is made right in front of you–even if you have to wait 15 minutes to get it. I’m a big fan of the bean sprouts.It’s a decent place to sit down for lunch but you might have trouble finding a table that’s clean.
