A throwback to the 50s!!. The restaurant is a throwback to the 50s when there were few places to stop on the road to Gettysburg. The restaurant is quite large with a small gift-shop at the entrance and a large buffet combined with several dining rooms that can be sectioned into private rooms. The daily specials are listed at the front door but the focus is on the buffet. The buffet is available as both soup & salad only and the full buffet – something I learned only after the fact. The big focus on the buffet is dessert with 2 1/2 of the 5 buffet tables dedicated to pies, puddings and other sweet treats. As a whole, the buffet isn’t very inspired – the majority of the patrons appeared to be retirees, either local or passing thru town. The hot food is standard fare – relatively bland steam-table vegetables, meatloaf, sausage and fish sticks (visited on a Friday). The fried chicken was surprisingly good especially for a buffet with a minimal amount of breading and surprising non-greasy. The salad bar is quite large with one section of the usual salad bar fixings plus a myriad of prepared salads (tuna and chicken), potato and macaroni. The dessert bar is extensive. For the heath-conscious, there are even some sugar-free options for pies and even sugar-free Jello which was a nice touch. All told, this is road food and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The service is pleasant, the atmosphere is older and it allows an opportunity to slow down.

No. Has buffet and menu. Menu is limited and buffet is the most uninspired, lazy and cold buffet ever. People who eat here are over 70 and don’t care about quality. Pass. I ate off the menu and had an egg mc muffin. Was aight. Sister ordered a meal and wanted to substitute ham out for hash browns and waitress about had a stroke figuring out the concept

Hmmm. Had breakfast other day while on the way to Gettysburg with family. I was OK with the breakfast but not too much selection. Not sure the family enjoyed but I was OK with it. It aint the Four Seasons but worth the few dollars. Also, had dinner a few months a go as I passed through and the Buffet was real good. Much better than breakfast

Sub par food. Fake crab. Fake mashed potatoes. Gluten nightmare. Cold roast beef with no juice. Overpriced. Bathroom smelled like a truckstop.

Great buffet!. We always stop here with the family after hiking in the Catoctin National park. Everyone loves the buffet because there is so much to choose from! That goes for the desserts, too 🙂 yummo!

Awesome fried chicken. This is a family friendly restaurant that is a favorite stop for skiers coming back from a day trip to PA.
