Moving on up!!. They recently remodeled the store and ever since it’s been a completely different place. with a new owner, the service is pretty quick in the mornings and the food is made to order. i mean eggs cracked and scrambled to make each omeette. i love it. it’s a great deal because a bagel and homefries come with each omelette. great coffee too, always piping hot

Poor Service. I am really surprised this place is still in business. Years ago I had sworn off going back to Bagel Works in Towson/Timonium unless I had two hours to spend getting a bagel or simple breakfast. The service was always painfully slow.Today, the place I wanted to go was closed so I decided against my better judgement to give it a try and I was reminded why I made my original pledge. It took our waitress 10-15 minutes to even greet us and we never got our food. After an additional 45 minutes we just left. We would have complained but there were also people there who had been seated before us who hadn’t gotten any food, so we knew we weren’t the only one. We ordered a bagel with cream cheese, two bagels with eggs, and a turkey sandwich. Yep, and after an hour, we still hadn’t received our food. AND this is the exact same experience we had the other 3-4 times we had been there – about 30-45 minutes to get a simple order. The crazy thing is, the place didn’t seem that busy. I think it is a systematic problem. It seems to me, based on observation, that people who come in for takeout get first priority. Those sitting in the dining room are left to languish. They need to have a separate area for takeout and dining. If you are going to get takeout, you may be fine. I think it is still slow, but not nearly so because they don’t want people loitering around. If you want to sit down, save yourself the hassle. This place is the worst.

Unpleasant Experience. I have been to Bagel Works in Lutherville, Timonium many times. Unfortunately, the last time I went there was for breakfast in early June, I had a very unpleasant experience and will probably never return. One of the cooks, I believe her name is Jessica, was extremely nasty and rude. From what i’ve heard, her mother is the owner of Bagel Works. If she continues to have such a disgusting attitude, the business will fail miserably. She messed up on my order and was yelling/cursing at other employees for her mistake. What she doesn’t know is, I heard absolutely everything and because of her I will not be returning to the restaurant.

Decent breakfast. Bagel works does a decent job – they have decent omelettes, pancakes, as well as lunchtime sandwiches. Breakfast comfort food.

Used to be good. I used to go here twice a week or so for a lox bagel, but over time the quality has went straight downhill. Last three visits there was barely any lox on the thing, and it was all bunched up on one side of the bagel, along with the cream cheese and tomato, which was more than a half inch thick. It’s clear the people in the kitchen are rushing and just throwing stuff together as fast as possible. Three times failure is enough for me- I’ll try again in six months or so.Also weird that they don’t have capers.

Never Again!. Used to be a great place for great bagels, friendly faces and fresh coffee, but our last few visits were very disappointing. After waiting 20 minutes to seat ourselves at a table barely wiped off, we waited 10 minutes for coffee, then 30 minutes for a mediocre breakfast. We had to asked for silver ware twice while our food got cold. I say spare yourselves the disappointment and go straight to Panera’s!

They didn’t know what capers were?. The last time I was in (and it’s been a while), I ordered an everything bagel with lox and asked for capers. The guy said they didn’t have capers and then ***he asked what capers were!*** Also, they don’t do the bagels open-face, you have to ask to have it that way apparently. The bagel was good, but I just couldn’t get over a bagel place not having capers, or knowing what they are.
