Great soups and breakfast
Housewife Haven. Atwater’s is in the parking lot of the Kenilworth mall in Towson. This small restaurant is beautiful inside and out. I would note that at lunch time I was the only male inside the place except for a waiter. This may be due in part to the fact that the menu leans toward vegertarian fare. I had a bowl of Hungarian Mushroom soup which was perfect. Not creamy or watery but well spiced.There is a full selection of coffee and teas along with a complete dessert menu. Overall I would say Atwater’s is worth a visit.
A single visit turned weekly tradition. Atwaters is where I bring my out-of-town friends and family to for lunch. Their bread and soups are fantastic! Their sandwiches are good as well (I get the Chicken Salad sammy and my wife gets the PepperJack Turkey sammy) but they don’t change their sandwich menu like they used to.
It is such a particular place you cannot order outside of the menu. Disgusting food. Trying to be elegant but not just strange and gross.
Great food. I love the food here; it taste good and there is a healthy twist to it. Service is slow during rush times.
Great Soup. I was out getting some last minute teach stuff at Learning How and since I have the house to myself this weekend I thought I would try Atwater’s new location out.I got a 1/2 of a B.A.L.T. ($4.95)- Nueske Bacon, Avocado, Fresh Tomato, Garlic Mayonnaise & Green Leaf Lettuce Served on Country White. All the ingredients were fresh and very tasty. The bacon was perfect and the mayo had a nice flavor.I also got a cup of Red Pepper & Peanut with Shrimp & Crab (Szechuan Beans) $4.50. It had a nice kick to it. The peanuts were a bit harder than I expected. Overall, it was good. At the end my mouth was a bit tingly with heat.The service was quick and friendly.
