Gluten Free Meal without Worries. I had dinner with friends at Cafe Troia in Towson, MD last night. Prior to the reservation I contacted Cafe Troia to see if they had gluten free options other than just a salad and lo and behold I was informed that there were a few things on the menu that could be done gluten free. They also had gluten free bread which was absolutely great and gluten free pasta. I had Lamb Ossobuco and let me tell you the lamb was falling off the bone. The lamb also melted in your mouth. iI would definitely recommend Cafe Troia to anyone. It was a great find.

Frequent diner. Great place! We keep coming back because we love the menu and the friendly staff, who always remember and welcome us back. Whether we’re celebrating a special occasion with fine dining, or enjoying a small plate at the bar, we always leave looking forward to our next visit.

Celiac-friendly, good food, nice look.. Live jazz on Saturday nights in the bar [small combo featuring a retired neurosurgeon and a local whiz kid]. Every meal there has been tasty, filling, and served hot. The Troia Family actively manage this busy upscale Tuscan eatery, and the server staff morale always seems high. Because we have to live gluten-free, it’s great to find a restaurant so attuned to any/all food allergy issues. They’ve been able to modify virtually any menu item to be GF, and still make it taste great. Portions are good and attractively presented.Three dining rooms: front, rear, and downstairs, plus two outdoor dining areas for warmer weather. Coat check and valet parking available. Well-stocked bar with good wine list and skilled bartenders. Ravens games on two large screen TV’s are played with sound on, but otherwise TV is close-captioned so you can hear the music – live or piped in, depending on the day. We’re there almost every week, usually on the weekends, so you can guess it’s a favorite of ours. Great place for a date, a party, or just dinner with family/friends. Casual dress, altho you’ll see more sportcoats & ties in the evening. Average age of customers seems to be in the 35-60 range, but you’ll see whole families as well. If you’re looking for an upscale Italian/Tuscan experience in Towson, this is the place.

Excellent authentic Italian food to go along with the excellent service. New digs across the street really add to the ambiance and complete the fine dining experience. No wonder this place is an area favorite for over 24 years. Try the room down stairs that looks over the patio and has a cozy atmosphere with the fireplace.

This is an excellent restaurant. We sat at the bar before dinner and had drinks and small plates. It was excellent and the bartenders were great. Dinner was also excellent. My wife and I shared the caprese salad and she had the pasta puttanesca and I had the braciole. We finished off with a couple of limoncello.

Yuck!. We arrived to discover that for what ever reason they had moved across the street to an old office building they converted. There was a huge hole in the sidewalk out front. We were seated in the basement looking out onto an alley. The food was mediocre and WAY over priced. the staff was surly. There were issues with a very unprofessional valet parker. This restaurant makes the short drive to little Italy worth it!
