Farewell my friends. I have been eating at Central Asia for over 40 years. I was a patron of their restaurant that use to be in the than Eudowood Shopping Center and a patron of the Goucher Blvd. carryout. It has been several weeks since I last ordered and I figured tonight would be a good night to feast on their delicious delights. I was shocked to discover my favorite restaurant has changed hands! The new owners did okay with my usual selections, shrimp fried rice and chicken with broccoli but their recipe does not hold a candle to the old recipes I have grown accustomed to through the years. The establishment looks different and the brands have changed. The proprietor was friendly but they are not the family I grew to love during the years. The original owners and their family have always been the greatest! I will miss them so much. My prayer is that they are happy in their new endeavors. I only wish I’d had the chance to say goodbye. 🙁
BEST CHINESE CARRY OUT. I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food. My Dad insisted that we order from here one night for dinner. After taking my first bite I was hooked! It is now the ONLY place I will order Chinese food. I love it so much I drive 20 minutes just to pick it up. I would recommend this place to ALL my friends, family and colleagues. Go there, you WON’T regret it! 🙂 ENJOY!
FAMOUS SPRING ROLLS!. I have been hearing stories all over Baltimore that this place has the best egg rolls (aka spring rolls) in town. People from out of state go there and buy 50+ spring rolls to take with them. Well, I finally got to try them and they are the BEST spring rolls I have ever had in my LIFE! I am now going to make this my Chinese Take-Out of choice!
Worst Managed Chinese Carry-Out. They alway advertise their special but they never have it. I have called in for one of there specials over 20 times and they never have it. I am so disgusted with them that I will never call them again. I just tore up their carry-out menu. AND!!!, I will tell every friend, business associate and relative not to order from them anymore. NO MORE CENTRAL ASIA ORDERING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good food. I love chicken fried rice and Central Asia Carry Out makes it very well. Plenty of chicken and very good flavor. The scallops with snow pea pods and bamboo shoots were also nice. Service was fast and friendly. My only complaint was that the man who took my order could not answer a couple of questions I had about a couple of the dishes on their menu. Anyone taking orders ought to be more familiar with what they are offering.
