Pizza Variety. Earth Wood and Fire is a beautifully decorated space on Falls road in North Baltimore. While the decoration is upscale the prices are high at $10-14 for a personal size pizza depending on your choice of topping. The pizza is a very thin crust and not my favorite as I prefer a thicker crust. The sauces and the toppings are above average and should be for the price range. The service was very good during my visit with a very helpful waitress. I would probably pass on another visit to Earth Wood and Fire choosing a better meal for the money spent. I would though recommend this to someone who’s looking for a clean pizza place with good service and a thin crust pizza.
Quickly becoming a favorite. We have eaten at Earth Wood and Fire three times in the last two weeks. We love the airiness of the space and the large windows. We have had great servers. And the food…!!! We love the pizza, sweet potato fries, regular fries, chicken wings, and last but not least the chocolate chip cookies, served warm from the oven and so fragrant and flavorful. The chicken wings are brilliant. Spicy but not hot. Moist and tasty. Yes, the place is loud, but the food and service more than make up for that.
Very expensive for mediocre pizza. Salad and chicken wings were pretty good. Pizza wasn’t anything special, and is over-priced.
This restaurant is terrible. The chicken sausage stuffed peppers had zero flavor. The sausage tasted like sauted ground chicken with no seasonings. The scampi pizza was overflowing with ricotta cheese. The shrimp on the pizza are the size of dimes..no joke. 15$ for a pizza with about 8 mini shrimp is a rip off. The salads were just okay. Service was super slow and just different. Not a fan and do not recommend if you are expecting a lovely night out.
Pricy but worth it! Our server Eva was fantastic, friendly and efficient. The food was wonderful. With a large crowd waiting at the door, though, busboys were terrible at clearing empty tables and hosts were inexplicably slow at seating customers. It’s a shame to see people waiting while it takes ten-fifteen minutes to turn over an empty table. We’ll definitely go back for the great food though!
Bleh. New to baltimore, wanted to try a new place. First, the space seems a little sparsely laid out and it made the extraneous employees (15 total by my count) milling around more obvious. Upon sitting down to your table, the first thing you notice is the egregiously overpriced draft beer. $7 for a fat tire or sam adams summer? these aren’t exquisitely rare beers (some of their bottle beers are great choices), but maybe i’m just a cheapo. Got black bean and spicy sausage soup and caprese salad. Salad was great if you love tomatoes, but the soup seemed a little too monotone black bean and unpleasantly homogenous in the cup. The focaccia slice that comes with the soup didn’t go with the black bean at all. We ordered Rustic pizza with pepperoni and got what must be an aberration in their normal baking. There are reviewers on here that have pictures of delightfully charred, legit coal-fired pizza. What we got was seriously undercharred and looked like it had been made at Papa John’s or something. Maybe your pizza will be different, but ours was passable at best. Decided to risk it and order Blueberry cobbler with ice cream ($1.95 extra). Cobbler was good although strangely sour. Whichever citrus juice used to add tartness was maybe a little heavy in our case. All in all a decent meal, but the pizza is what brings you back to a pizza place. I suspect it won’t bring us back.
Love the ‘za. Don’t go with a crowd – it’s very loud!
