Excellent food and service. We’ve been there a few times and were very impressed by the tasteful meals and their hospitality. Our intention is to invite the closest friends to Mother’s Day brunch. Looking forward to enjoying a great Sunday.
Wonderful Eating Experience. While I am no expert on Middle Eastern cuisine, I have to say that after eating at the Orchard Market & Cafe numerous times when visiting the Baltimore area, I am addicted to it. Unfortunately, I do not get to the Baltimore area but a few times a year. The food has always been excellent, the service is personal and top notch, and the atmosphere is truly wonderful. In short, I love this place and I wish it was located closer to where I live.
Not so good. I have eaten here twice and I am not sure why everyone raves about this place. The Lamb Kebobs are tasteless and the veggies are not well cooked. The last time I tried the Lamb Kebob, the meat was bloody. I couldn’t eat it all, nor would I bother to take it home. The rice is dry and tasteless. My dinner companion had the Vegetarian Kebob, and it was also tasteless and not well cooked. We also tried the Yogurt and Cucumber salad. It was terrible and tasteless. I have a problem with a restaurant that supposedly is amazing at making and serving Middle Eastern food and they can’t get a Lamb Kabob right. Will never go again.
Great hidden gem. We have been going to this family run restaurant for years. Never a bad meal and always very friendly service. It is BYOB which we like. If you can find it you won’t be disappointed!
The Place for Great Persian Food. Our extended family has been eating here for years. Everything we’ve tried has been consistently scrumptious. However, we almost always find ourselves defaulting to some kind of lamb — for me, you can’t beat their Lamb Bademjune, (a traditional kind of lamb stew with eggplant and sour grapes in a bed of Mediterranian style tomato sauce. Fantastic, every time! The cooking and service is great. The main cook, the mom of the family, and her daughter (owner) are both terrific. A Zagat favorite at a price that can’t be beat. And of course, it’s BYOB, so you’ve got to bring along a bottle of wine.
Flavorful, interesting, and delicious Persian food. Reasonable prices. Chicken fessendun was great. Run by husband and wife (Jason is the cook). Great service. Highly recommended.
Worth the stop on our way home to PA. The food was amazing. Be sure to leave room for dessert! The baklava was fabulous.
