BEST taco salad ever! Hands down!
I miss this place.. I used to go there 3 times a week. Peruvian chicken is the best, and this place is the best in the region. Now, I live 1000 miles away. I guess I’m going to have to learn how to make it.I try to explain it to people here in Louisiana, but, it just makes me wish I could drive them to this place and let them eat it.
Not much to look at and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired but the Chicken is superb. I’d get it to take out anytime I’m in the area.
This place is great! The food is fresh and just taste amazing. Great flavors. Most important is very cheap.
Very Good Lomo Saltido. The lomo was very good. The meat was tender and lean. Unlike other’s lomo (e.g. Sardi’s) it wasn’t as salty or spic and there was less grease and french fries. You can also watch the cook make your lomo and see it brought straight from the pan to your table. There are only 4 tables but there was no waiting for tables and there was significant take-out traffic. This is definitely a place to go for a good, healthy meal. Highly recommend you check it out.
Great Peruvian Chicken!. Pollo Amigo has wonderful, well priced Peruvian Chicken! The chicken is spiced just right and juicy; and the sauces that go with it are delicious. I like their chicken so much that I have never tried their Mexican dishes, but I am sure they are wonderful as well.
HIDDEN GEM. This is my NUMBER ONE local spot for mexican food. i never go to chains. this place is the JAM. you can tell it will be because everyone else in there speaks spanish and clearly knows whats up. portions are big- the side of guacamole was served in a plastic cocktail cup (the biggest side of guac ive ever seen). authentic. youll get your food served with fresh, homemade condiments (you can really taste the lime in the guac and peppers in the pico) with heaping portions of black beans and rice on the side. so very yummy! and sweet staff! the owner gave us some oranges to have for dessert. i tell everyone about this hidden treasure.
