Go for brunch! Delicious and GREAT friendly service!. I visited Souris’ late Sunday morning for brunch. I had a awful experience with another restaurant (Ashland Cafe) that morning and was looking for a delicious breakfast! As soon as we walked into the building we were greeted by a smiling, friendly young man who seated us within 30 seconds. No more than a minute later a just-as-smiley girl came to our table to take our drink order. The fast and super friendly service continued throughout the meal. I have never eaten at Souris’ (drank- for sure!), but never any solid food! I was delightfully suprised to find their brunch menu plentiful, with five different types of Eggs Benedict (what I happened to be craving) as well as several omlete choices, and variations of breakfast meats. When the food (quickly) came out the presentation was excellent. My Floretine Eggs Benedict came with asparagus placed between the stacks of English muffins- something I have not even seen at Oregon Grille! The hollandaise sauce was perfect with a little touch of salt and pepper, eggs poached perfectly, home fries crisp- not over-fried, and a side of fruit was included as well. My sister was equally impressed with the Country Breakfast she ordered. The portion sizes are just big enough to be a big meal without making you overstuffed or walking out with a doggie bag. I look forward to visiting this restaurant (not just a bar to me anymore) for other meal times!
Real Pub. Real pub. Good prices on food. Prices used to be better, but they raised them last year. Reminds me of the pubs from college days. Only real dyed-in-wool pub in Towson where anyone over 30 would be comfortable. Happy hour crowd is all ages. The college kids come in after 11 pm. Everyone’s happy.
