Trout to die for. I’m not much of a chain restaurant lover (or a steak lover) but my husband wanted steak and we were staying directly across the street. The serving was huge and it was delicious. Also a big serving of spinach and rice, equally yummy . Service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Everything was perfect.

I enjoyed a quiet Sunday night dinner at Stoney River. I recommend the coffee cured filet mignon. Mine was cooked perfectly medium. Though the richness of the steak was almost too much after the ninth or tenth bite, it was delicious. The green beans on the side had a nice kicked to them, heavy with freshly cracked black pepper. I also shared some of my mom’s au gratin potatoes, which were great! The little deep fried bread balls with cinnamon apple butter are far too addicting…beware.

Pre- Father’s Day Event. My significant other and I were here for a Pre-Father’s Day Dinner on June 7th, 2014. It was our first time dinning here. Everything I heard about it was true. The food was fantastic. Our server Joshua was Amazing!!!! Everything he recommended was superb which made our night truly memorable. Thank you Stoney River and Joshua for an unforgettable evening. 🙂

Review. I went here about a month ago and it was fantastic. Delicious rolls… check! Delicious burgers… check! Awesome service…. check! By far the best… I remember her name was Sarah and she was the sweetest waitress ever. She was so polite and patient with us. My mother has special needs and she accommodated every single one of them. She needed to use the bathroom and Sarah escorted her to and from without any hesitation. Absolute sweetheart. So glad she was our server. ASK FOR SARAH!!!

Stoney River in Towson Disappoints. With food that is just run of the mill, service that is not attentive to customer needs, and prices that are top of the list, I will avoid this establishment in the future. A chicken entree was undercooked (almost still quivering), a wait of 15 minutes for a wine refill (even though our server had the wine bottle in her hand as well as my glass that I had just emptied, but for some reason she thought I needed a clean glass), an overcooked side dish (augratin potatos), and an overdone steak entree, all said that this place was clearly not interested in providing quality food and service. I am saddened, because the interior of the restaurant is attractive and inviting. Perhaps they would be better off affiliating with McDonald’s.

Not family friendly. My wife ,4 year old and 11 month old wanted to try this place on a Sunday 2-3pm, place was half full and hostess told us it was a 3 hour wait with a dumb smile, we knew right and then not a place to spend our money. Many other restaurants to visit with the family

A GREAT FILET WITH AN UNUSUAL CURING PROCESS. We had a very nice dinner here. My wife had the onion soup which she said was very good. It was very light because it did not have bread and cheese on it. I had the house salad which included bacon, jack and cheddar cheese, tomatoes and almonds. It was really good and large. Each of us had the signature filet mignon which was cured in coffee, molasses and brown sugar. I found this to be so unusual that I almost did not order it. I am glad I did because it was not only a great steak but also had a different, distinctive flavor which I enjoyed. We ordered the filets medium rare and each was done perfectly. My wife and daughter had theirs with au gratin potatoes and sauted green beans. I had mine with mashed cinnamon sweet potatoes and the beans. The sweet potatoes were very good also. Service was also good. The next time I am in Towson, I would go again.
