Never again!. The waitstaff was incredibly rude. They refused to honor advertised prices on from their own website and started yelling at me in front of other customers when I questioned it. The teriyaki chicken I ordered was way over cooked and very chewy. The salad was wilted iceberg lettuce from a bag. Parking is non-existent near this restaurant too. I have had better Japanese food from frozen meals and do not recommend this restaurant.

Best sushi in Bethesda! Sushi is delicious especially the spicy rolls. Staff is friendly and brings a complimentary sushi piece at the end of every meal. It doesn’t look like much but Yirasai is a hidden gem loved by the locals.

Go to Hinata instead. Not fresh enough raw fish, Hinata is far better quality and value.

I found the place very cozy and intimate, only about eight tables but a nice size sushi bar that sat over a dozen. The food was very good and the wait staff was attentive. I would come back again.

The avacado salad is a dream. The volcano roll required seconds

Best and freshest sushi for very reasonable prices (given the area). This restaurant is completely unassuming, but if you are a sushi lover, you will never want to go anywhere else. The owner is there every day and prepares the sushi himself. The fish is always fresh and often, the chef will send over a little treat in between courses. The service is always friendly and attentive. Definitely the place to go for a great sushi experience!

Mediocre food and bad service.. I live very close to this restaurant, but I try my hardest to avoid it. It is expensive for its quality; the fish is not that fresh, and the service is poor. There are much better (and cheaper!) sushi restaurants in the area.
