Downhill slide. This is the fourth time my wife and I have dined at Asian Sakae. The 1st time we both ordered sushi and Thai dishes. Service was friendly and prompt, the sushi was fresh and well made and the Thai entrees were very good. Our second experience was a bit less pleasant, sushi was not quite as fresh but still not too bad, chalked it up to an off night. Two weeks ago we went with another couple on a saturday night. The restaurant was very busy and it seemed that most of the attention was directed towards their carry out business. Service was unfriendly and hurried. The staff was running around so frantically that twice they accidentally hit people at our table without any acknowledgment. We all ordered Chinese and Thai dishes and overall the food was good although the Pai Thai was very different than the 1st time but edible. This past saturday night my wife and I dined again. The dining room was fairly empty but staff was very busy trying to keep up with carry out and delivery business. The waitress was at best businesslike when she finally got around to taking our order. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer which were drenched in so much grease it pooled slightly on the plate. My Pai Thai was over-cooked and mushy but I ate half of it and my wife’s chicken rice noodle was pretty good. Unfortunately I’m no longer willing to gable with the inconsistencies and it seems that they have already become just another Chinese carryout.
