Feels like a confused restaurant. Lately; I’ve decided to stop eating at the same places and took a chance on Maggie’s for a late Sunday dinner. My overall opinion is that as a whole; Maggie’s is confused about what type of establishment it strives to be. There is no identifiable entrance and we wandered the exterior for 2 minutes attempting to identify a main door and once inside, no visible hostess station to request a table was anywhere in sight. From the lithographs on the wall, stone fireplace, hardwood floors, elegantly worded main dish descriptions and leather-bound menus; one would expect a fine dining feel. However, the plastic table cloths, sardine-like seating arrangement and the centrally placed bar between 3 segregated dining areas felt like the restaurant was once a popular, local watering hole that decided to jump in and expand their market. The mixed drink menu on the table advertises the same appetizers as are available in the dining area; but at a lower price – why would there be 2 different prices based on where you sit? The menu is as confused as the layout; high priced seafood dishes next to fried delights for the bar patrons. The larger banquet area stayed dark and unused; while the small dining areas, one for tables of 2, one for families were cramped, as if you leaned slightly to either direction you would end up in your neighbors lap. The food was good, but overpriced for the portion sizes and ingredients used to prepare them. I feel as though Maggie’s should take a step back and decide on a theme, rearrange the restaurant to give people more room to move, and focus on what they excel at. I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if anything changes and I hope it does. Until then though, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

The service was okay but the meals seem over priced. I would recommend sticking to the bar dinning area & the light fare menu.

Be very careful. Be careful of this place! My wife and I were driving through Westminster and were looking for a lunch spot. Saw Maggie’s and decided to give it a try. The nachos were fine my wife’s mini crab cake appetizer was good but my burger was horrible. I asked for medium and the burger was more than well done and dry. The problem came when the check arrived. The mini crab cakes were $1.00 more than the menu price and my burger was also $1.00 more than the menu price. The server would not do anything about it. Most places interested in customer service would have adjusted the price and apologized. Neither took place. I would never go back or recommend Maggie’s to anyone. After dining, a read some other reviews on Google and found that other people had the same problem.

I find most of their mains more than a little pretentious, so skip the outdated dinning room. Sit on the bar side (now smoke free) and go for a the best burger in Westminster (half price on Tuesday nights). Club sandwich is good and the salads are fresh. In the summer the gazpacho is top notch and daily soups are scratch made and always good as is the quiche. Bottom line: treat it like a restaurant and it’s just okay, treat it like a pup and you will be very pleased.
