Good Food. Crab Dip was ok more lump crab would have been nice. Fish and Chips was great , a very large serving of fish along with chips ( fried potato) hit the spot. Service was Good that night, 2 meals about 30 minutes to arrive.
Entrees not bad, but desserts need some work.. Have eaten here about 3 times and enjoyed my appetizers and entrees (fish n chips is quite good for an American restaurant); however, the desserts are disappointing. Neither of the Baileys desserts tastes at all of Bailey’s Irish Cream, and if a dessert is going to be covered in some type of sauce, that should be included in the menu description. Nothing more unappetizing that an unwanted raspberry sauce all over my plate. Also, the egg nog cocktails can’t compete with those at Galway Bay in Annapolis.
Good Food and Bad Service. My wife and I enjoyed a very good meal on Saturday night. Food was well prepared and tasty. However, the waitress was inattentive and slow. She never brought our salads, which we reminded her as she was delivering our entrees. When she returned she only brought one salad instead of the two we had ordered. We ordered coffee, but the coffee was cold by time she brought the cream for the coffee. In addition, we asked for some bread or rolls to soak up the sauce towards the end of our meal, but after a wait, the waitress brought only one, very small piece of fruited soda bread to share between two people, then acted put out when we questioned her choice. We discussed our experience with the hostess, who identified herself as a manager. She expressed dismay, but offered only an apology. We left dissatisfied and disappointed.
We have eaten at O’Lordan’s dozens of times. Typically the food is tasty and the service quick. When we heard they were serving Sunday breakfast we headed over. The results were disappointing. Despite being mostly empty, service was extremely slow, the coffee was served tepid and the French toast was gooey in the middle. Here is hoping this is starting pangs.14 Feb, 2011We have been to this establishment many tomes. Tonight we went out for a pre-valentines meal. They were very busy but managed to seat us . Unfortunately it took 1 1/4 hours for our meal to arrive. For the aggregation of the wait and despite our server sealing to the manager all that was offered was ‘sorry it took so long’. This is far below the caliber of what one would get at a fast food place. My advice; if they are at all busy go elsewhere or ask specifically how long it will take to be served.
Love. The portebello mushroom and the salmon. However, the service and/or kitchen are slow. Sat on 2nd floor and would not see waitress for a while. I do like lots of drink refills. Despite service still my favorite in town.18 Jun, 2011Love. The portebello mushroom and salmon. Always my favorites. Service a little slow and/or maybe the kitchen. Yummy despite
