Divey but good food court for comforting Korean. (10/13/2014) Nice food court with 3 stalls to get some comforting Korean food before shopping next door at H-Mart. Tried Two Youngs, they have a cheap AUCE sushi buffet at lunch time. Since it was a cold, drizzly day, bypassed it for an incendiary, spicy seafood soondubu (soft toful soup). Came in a heated stone bowl with a generous bowl of sticky rice, cabbage and radish kimchee. Soup was not too salty, lots of soft, silken, custard like tofu, and a smattering of seafood (looked like the frozen bag of mix you might get at the H-mart next door, dime-sized pieces of squid, mussels, shrimp, scallops) and 1 head on shrimp peeking out at you. Fried Mandoo had a somewhat chewy and tough wrapper, but very crispy; meat filling odd mash of maybe pork and chives, adequate, not stellar. I’m not a stranger to Korean food, but had a little trouble navigating the menus at the different stalls, a lot of things you don’t usually see elsewhere, and much of it in Korean only (could even decipher with the pictures). Maybe I’ll branch out next time, def looking forward to trying the new handmade noodles and maybe the blood sausage. In the middle of a weekday, lunchtime crowd looked like a mix of nearby office drones and little old Asian couples, a few families with small children. Good place to stop in before your shopping and you might even pick up something new.
