We will never go back, not because of the food but poor service. Our wait was shorter than estimated which was nice, but we only had 4 in our party. We were seated outside near the play area, then it started to rain. They barely rushed to get umbrellas for the tables but it made it worse because the water was now dripping from the umbrella onto my head & our backs. When I asked if we could just move under a roof I was told that the wait would be over an hour for another table or they can give us take out boxes to take our food (we literally just got our food now). So we scarfed down our rain soaked food. I felt bad for the server because it wasn’t her fault, but the manager should have moved us & the other tables inside. VERY irritating that we had to eat our meal in the rain.
Our daughter loved the kids’ play area. The food was good and in line with OC prices. Did not have a ton of seafood choices but rather a wide variety of menu items. We’d go back.
Update 2018: Crab cake sandwich without the bun is great. Huge lumps and the homemade chips are good. It is served with pasta salad and chips, which can be subbed for French fries for $3 more. The drinks come in little pitchers which is cute. Crab dip is small but great with the hot baguette. Steamed shrimp is excellent: very large and not overcooked. There is ample outdoor seating, multiple bars, and a few levels inside the restaurant. Just be aware that the wait during dinner time can be a long one. If you are 4 or less, go for the bar seating which is first come first served open seating. Lots of parking and free valet offered, too.

Absolutely fantastic!. We have a 16 month old and have had some pretty rough experiences this week with going out to eat. Dead Freddies was the exception. This is the PERFECT place in ocean city for families. Our 45 minute wait flewww by because our son was able to run around and play on the pirate ship playground. Once we were seated we were greeting with an excellent waitress. The food and drinks were prompt. My wife got the seafood wrap and I had the black beards burger. Both were fantastic!!!! Not sure how the negative reviews are possible. They do a great job separating the tables with families from the adult/bar area. Overall excellent experience.
Service is quick, food is OK, and it’s fun for kids if you sit outside.
Excellent food. Would eat there again. highly recommend it.
