Great food! We were seated right away even though they were very busy. Our waitress was nice and efficient. We went there specifically because I wanted the Eggs Chesapeake, but they were not on the menu. The waitress said that even though they didn’t have it as a special that day she would ask them to make it for me. It was so delicious. You must try! It’s eggs Benedict made with crabcakes. My kids had the rainbow pancakes with sprinkles and were thrilled. All the food was great! The only complaint I can give is that the coffee was weak.

Bland, Blah Breakfast. Tried this breakfast place on the recommendation of a friend. I ordered the O.C. Choppers Omelette special. It was supposed to be packed with ham, jalapeno peppers, onions, potatos and cheese. What I got was a ton of onion and potato, a few slivers of jalapeno, and a few tiny chunks of ham. I am also a firm believer that a cup of diner coffee is bottomless, so even when busy, you shouldn’t have to wait very long for a refill. Not the case at Layton’s. I won’t be trying this place again.

First impressions create lasting memories. We just went to Layton’s on 92nd St. because it was closer to where we were staying. Upon entering, the hostess made us go back out to into the foyer to wait until they cleaned off a table. I understood the reason why, but her attitude was not the greatest. This restaurant needs to work on establishing excellent customer service. Don’t think our family will be back at this location anytime soon.

No air conditioning! Miserable meal.. Went to Layton’s today to end out trip to Ocean CIty. Was looking for one final good meal before our drive home. After a 20 minute wait for indoor seating (it was already 92 degrees at 11am), we were seated. Service and food were good, but there was no air conditioning in the restaurant! No one apologized for it being so hot, so I assume it was not broken, and that they either don’t have it or are trying to cut back on energy bills. What a disappointment, we were miserable and sweaty the entire meal. Who wants to eat a hot breakfast and drink coffee in a crowded restaurant while there is sweat coming down you? We waited extra time to get indoor seating, hoping for a nice cool atmosphere. When we finished out meal and walked outside it actually felt cooler outside, and it was already 92 degrees out. Big disappointment, waste of $65 for breakfast. Don’t go here unless you like to sweat.

Great for the whole gang!. Great menu, awesome pancakes and now they even have Glutten Free pancakes!! Definately something to please everyone in the family from good ole fashion diner food to healthy fresh food! Will be your new regular spot at the beach!

Best place for breakfast. Eat there every am in OC. Don’t know about other meals…always happy with breakfast.
