I just can’t understand the hype about this place… I brought my kids here for dinner on our last vacation and we were totally let down by the quality of the food. It was fine that the food was fresh, but it’s NOT good if it is just fresh and tastes bad. Starting from bad to worst, the pulled pork was totally dry and would not have been salvageable except for drenching in sauce. I will say that the sauce was OK, but I don’t go to a restaurant for the sauce if the meat doesn’t match up. The next thing was the fried chicken… My family has had some very good fried chicken in the past, and this stuff was just kinda limp and lacked flavoring, and that is coming from my nine year old daughter who is an expert on fried chicken and pretty much likes everything that she eats… The worst offense to barbecue were the burnt ends… If any of you know anything about Kansas city style burnt ends then you will simply hate this stuff. It truly had nothing to do with what burnt ends are all about, and I would think that they would be ashamed to offer this to their customers. Enough said, it was just terrible… If you truly crave good barbecue then do not go here, go to The BBQ Joint in Easton, Maryland instead and you will find what you are looking for. It is a shame simply because we love to go to family joints like this that offer good food at great prices, but not if it is questionable quality.

We ordered fried chicken (better than the Colonel’s), green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potato fries, and got a free order of hush puppies with a coupon we had (look in Sunny Day). The food was ready upon on arrival, but still piping hot. All in all, good food at a reasonable price. I’m sure we will order again next year.SUGGESTION TO SMOKER’S BBQ PIT: I’d love to see fried shrimp on your menu!

Decent food and prices!. We eat here every time we’re in the Ocean City area. Good pork and beef BBQ, and the kids like the chicken and hamburgers. Great french fries! The long picnic tables and family atmosphere add to the experience.
Ok BBQ, Great location close to beach & Frontier Town. My mom took me here when we visited the Assateague Island Seashore. It was the perfect place to stop for dinner on our way off the beach. It is casual so we felt ok wearing our bathing suits and shorts to eat here. The food was ok. I liked the BBQ pork, but did find some grissel/bone in it–so that kind of ruined it for me. The baked beans were delcious. The fries were ok, but not worth the upgrade fee. Overall, the food was good. It was not the best I have had, but I would probably eat here again. It is very convenient IF you are spending the day at Frontier Town or Assateague Island.
