We enjoy heading to Rapscallion for dinner – fantastic wait staff, the owners are very friendly, and the food and beer are delicious. This is one of our favorite local spots. The outdoor seating in the summer is great, but make a reservation for a table any time of year – it’s very busy! The good news is there’s no minimum number of people. My favorite beer – the Honey.
Having been a fan of past Rapscallion incarnations, my wife and I were a little disappointed with the Table&Tap. We tried four of the beers and all were pretty serviceable. They are all middle-of-the-road in the sense that nothing is too high in hops or alcohol. All are drinkable by even casual beer drinkers. Thumbs up to the Summer White, though. This was an excellent seasonal brew that goes down easy on a hot day.The food, well, it was a let down. We had the Applewood smoked chicken wings and the mussels, and we would not order either again. The place seems very popular, though, so maybe we caught them on an off night.We sat out on the patio, and the service was excellent. Anytime any of the servers walked by they asked if we needed anything. Unfortunately, it was very buggy when the sun went down and that did not add to our enjoyment of the meal.
