  This restaurant is a bit of a hike for me but worth the trip. The food is made fresh and it is absolutely delicious. The variety of cocktails are wonderful as well. I’m a huge fan of the elderflower margarita. Well priced and always a pleasure experience!

  Very Good!. We have been hearing great things about this place and so decided to give it a try. We has also heard that we should expect a wait, esp on a Friday night. Both were true. We waited about 20 mins for a seat at the bar for two on a Friday, but it was well worth it. The place was hopping which is a good sign! The menu is simple but well planned. Tacos, Burritos, Enchiladas, the standard mexican fare. We sat at the bar and were served by a very friendly& tall gentleman bartender. Our food was excellent and VERY reasonably priced. They have a diverse tequila and mescal selection and the bartender recommended a wonderfully smooth choice to go with some delicious margaritas. The drinks were generously poured. The only critique is that it would be nice, given how busy it is, if parties of less than 6 could make call ahead reservations. It would also be nice if they had a dessert on their menu. Overall though, it was worth a wait and we were very pleased with out meal!! Recommend!

  I’d give it another try. I had heard nothing but great reviews from people about Mission Cantina since the first semester that I transferred to UMass. From the great food and drinks to exciting atmosphere, I had to add it to my list of places to go before I graduate. After dining there the other night I don’t think my overall experience matched my expectations. The way people raved about the food, drinks, and atmosphere made it seem like it was the place to be. I feel that the overall experience was very average. Nothing that I experienced was bad, it just wasn’t great. The atmosphere was and ambiance was very cozy, my margarita was tasty, but the service was just as inconsistent as the food. While we were waiting, the hostess and server were energetic, friendly, and engaging, but once we got to our table, I felt our server was monotone, distant and too relaxed. When it comes to food, the loaded pulled pork nachos were full of flavor and delicious just like the spicy flavorful grilled shrimp taco I had. On the other hand, my vegetable taco, carne asada taco, and refried beans were bland and extremely lacking flavor. I was surprised that the flavor was that different between the menu items. Every experience at a restaurant is different, so it could have been the server we had, the cold temperature in the room, or the meal that I chose that resulted in me feeling these ways. Overall, I wouldn’t choose this restaurant as my first choice for my next dinner, but I would definitely go back and give it another try!

  Cantina is Great. Went for the first time on a Thursday evening with my wife. Sat at the bar and was instantly impressed with the comfy atmosphere. The wife had a great Margarita and I had one of their 32oz beers. Wife got a Burrito and I had the Enchiladas. All I can say is Amazing!,,, by the time we were done, there were many people waiting for a table. Try this place, you will love it. Can’t wait to go back. The food is incredible and reasonably priced. Service was top notch
